Dr. Shormin Shohelly, Senior Consultant, Retina, Uvea, and Ocular Oncology Specialist Surgeon. Dr. Shormin Shohelly is a highly respected ophthalmologist, specializing in uveitis, medical retina, ocular oncology, and phacoemulsification surgery, with over 15 years of clinical and surgical experience in managing complex and posterior uveitis, supported by global training and clinical excellence. Dr. Shohelly did her MBBS in 2005 and D.O.M.S. in Ophthalmology in 2010 from the renowned Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, graduating with a gold medal in Ophthalmology for her outstanding academic performance. She went on to complete an 18-month fellowship in Ocular Inflammation, Uveitis, and Medical Retina at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, one of India's leading tertiary eye care centers. Further advancing her sub-specialty training, she completed the ICO Fellowship in Ocular Oncology, Retinoblastoma, and Ocular Tumor at the world-renowned Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, USA in 2017. Currently, Dr. Shohelly serves as a Senior Consultant at Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute since 2023. Her appointments include Apollo Hospitals Dhaka and Salahuddin Specialist Dhaka Hospital, where she contributes significantly to the development of uveitis and retinal care services in Bangladesh.
