Dr. Moutushi Islam

After completing her M.B.B.S. from Chittagong Medical College, Dr. Moutushi Islam achieved her Fellowship (FCPS) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS). She further enhanced her academic and clinical standing through multiple advanced subspecialty trainings in leading ophthalmic institutions at home and abroad.

Dr. Moutushi Islam completed a 6-month Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina at the National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital (NIOH), Dhaka. She also received specialized training in Cornea and Anterior Segment from Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital (IIEI&H), Dhaka. Additionally, she undertook Micro Surgery Training in ECCE with PCOI and further Microsurgery Training in IOL Phacoemulsification at IIEI&H, strengthening her expertise in modern cataract and anterior segment procedures.

Throughout her career, Dr. Moutushi Islam has gained extensive clinical exposure through her work and training at major eye care centers including the National Institute of Ophthalmology & Hospital (NIO&H), Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, and other reputed institutions in Bangladesh. Her primary clinical interests include Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification) and Medical Retina, where she continues to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Fluent in both Bengali and English, Dr. Moutushi scored a Band 8 in the IELTS examination, reflecting strong communication skills essential for modern ophthalmic practice. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she remains passionate about medical education and is actively engaged in academic activities, teaching, and mentorship.
